A Link, A Level, A Layer, A LEAP: Digital Publication Possibilities And Realities

The e-journal Internet Archaeology has been publishing archaeology since 1998, using a wide range of data, images, video, interactive mapping and datasets. Most recently, the journal has started to move towards becoming an Open Access journal. Based on our experience of publishing a wide range of archaeology, from specialist reports and methodological studies to landscape narratives and the successful LEAP project exemplars, I will take a look at the expanding range of possibilities and approaches that digital publication offers to the discipline.
